The Georgia Real Estate School
The Georgia Real Estate School is licensed by the Georgia Real Estate Commission and offers the pre-license course in full compliance with Georgia License Law. Georgia Law determines the requirements for a salesperson’s license. An applicant must: be at least eighteen years of age ( 17 to take the course ), be a high school graduate or hold a GED, complete a state mandated course ( minimum 75 hours ), pass the state examination with a score of 75% or greater, acquire, at applicant’s expense, a certified criminal history report. A criminal history report, issued by the Georgia Crime Information Center of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, may be obtained through some local police precincts. It must be dated within sixty ( 60 ) days of a real estate license application.
The pre-license course meets the Georgia Real Estate Commission’s curriculum requirements including: Property Identification, Rights of Ownership, Forms of Ownership, Title Transfer, Governmental Rights, Contracts, Agency, Leases, Valuation, Finance, Net to Seller, Buyer’s Costs, License Law, Rules and Regulations.
Each applicant must meet the time and classroom participation requirements, complete homework assignments and pass the course with a score of 75% or greater to become eligible for the course final examination. A score of 75% or greater on the final examination is require to become eligible for the state examination.

In addition to our pre-license course, the Georgia Real Estate School offers two comprehensive, quick-moving, Continuing Education Courses carefully tailored for the needs and concerns of today’s real estate professional.
The first course is “Effective Negotiating”—this 3-hour course is specifically designed to increase and enhance the professionalism of any real estate salesperson. With sharpened negotiating skills, you can effectively influence your clients and exert better control over your time & resources. This course provides you a solid foundation in negotiation theory, techniques and styles. You’ll learn when to negotiate, how to successfully prepare for the negotiating process, how to enhance your own negotiating skills & abilities, and how to achieve quality results in any environment. The course provides an exciting blend of key, contemporary information with small-group interaction to develop participants’ knowledge and understanding of the negotiating process. Plus, each participant has the opportunity to take a self-assessment device to determine their own individual negotiating style, and how to maximize that style into effective techniques and strategies. “Effective Negotiating” is facilitated by a highly-qualified and enthusiastic former Kennesaw State Adjunct Professor with a doctorate degree, who is also a realtor at Georgia Elite Realty.
The second course is “Effective Communication” –our newest, and the most comprehensive overview of interpersonal communications in the real estate business today! The course gives participants a solid foundation in communication theory & dynamics, barriers, listening skills, and differences of communicative styles. Attendees will learn the Six Steps of Communication to enhance their individual communicative skills and abilities, to achieve quality results in relating to clients and peers alike. You will be provided a comprehensive self-assessment instrument to determine your own personal communication style, and to recognize & react to other styles within the real estate arena. Also, the course covers the unique background and differences between today’s generations—Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Generation Y. You’ll learn the influences and communications preferences of each, to more readily communicate across generational lines. “Effective Communication” is an excellent resource for any real estate professional to significantly refine their communicative skills!
